Who do you call when your heat pump, solar or battery breaks?

The short answer
Usually the installer first, then the manufacturer if it's under warranty. If neither can help, you'll need an independent engineer with the right certification for that kit.
The installer
They know the system and may still be liable for installation faults.
The manufacturer
For warranty claims, if they're still trading and the warranty conditions have been met.
An independent engineer
Look for MCS certification for heat pumps and solar, and NICEIC or NAPIT for electrical work.
When it's more than one thing
With several connected systems, a fault in one can show up in another. One provider covering all of them saves the back and forth.
Want someone else to look after it?
Annual service, monitoring and repairs, any make.
