GivEnergy in administration: what happens to your warranty?

1 min read · Updated 15 October 2026

The short answer

A warranty is only as good as the company behind it, so a manufacturer warranty from a company in administration may not be honoured. Your system keeps working, but support, parts and app features can't be taken for granted.

What changes

Warranty claims become a matter for the administrators. Software features that rely on the manufacturer's servers may change or stop.

What doesn't

Your battery and inverter keep running. Your installer may still have obligations for their installation work.

What to do now

Keep your installation paperwork, note your serial numbers and firmware version, and follow the administrators' updates for the latest position.
